Lots of Rot about printers.
Me, I have an Epson Stylus Photo R200, which costs as much to re-cartridge as it did to purchase. Bad idea, but it seems as if that's how the game is played.
I've found a few vested-interest links, like this one from Ink America. I'll be on the lookout for other useful information.
And there seems to be some useful comparison information at consumersearch.com. Here two links -- one for inkjet printers and one for photo printers
And if you want to save buying fancy photo gear, you can seek out printing services such as HP's Snapfish and Kodak's Photo-Gallery.
